ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Just before top of descent fps drops to around 8-10 per second, at around 40-50 miles from final fps drops to a frame per 2 seconds if I’m lucky, also 9 times out of 10 I’ll get black screens and the FMC will reset, if I go to exterior view and return to the cockpit i lose the cockpit rendering, photo attached.
Not sure if it’s something to do with the interior, every now and then if I switch to exterior view, I can get around 10fps for a short period.

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every flight with the Max 8 regardless of flight duration

1.load a career flight in the Max 8
2.start flight as usual, no skipping and follow startup checklist
3.continue flight issues tend to begin around top of descent

Only peripheral is a mouse to be able to use the EFB, photo geography turned off

• Yes

• For me it happened ~50 minutes into a session doing touch and go’s at LOWI.

Just to add, I thought it may of been the Xbox getting hot but was only warm to the touch, just to be safe I re checked the thermal paste which was still good but I replaced it while I had it in bits, safe to say latest flight was exactly the same issue

Have had this happen a few times since release I personally feel it’s a drop to the server that never recovers or a memory leak is happening can cause all sorts of issues tried to turn a vision jet off in this state using the auto shutdown and I had to sim rate to run out of gas

I agree with you there, done a fair few long haul flights in this latest beta which have gone smooth, it’s just the last couple of days have been really bad mid flight onwards, got an hour left in the 737 max which is a 3.5 hour flight, so far so good, not touching sim rate this time either as I don’t think that helps to be honest.

Yea I wasn’t having the midflight stuff happen in the last build but has been great to increase the size and complexity of plane flying

Well got it down, stutter free until final, couple of blips but as soon as I touched down it was a stuttering mess, don’t think the amount and quality of the static aircraft help at all.
Wish we could turn them off
