I wasn’t actually referring to the size of the downloads merely that smaller updates outside the normal patch cadence are to be expected from now on.
The issue of why some users have to download what appears to be the last patch all over again is a a separate issue. It’s not hit me so far.
Some speculation as to why this is were made, like users modding core files, so that when the update process us triggered, it detects this, and forces the download again. I don’t think it’s that.
I’m also not sure of it affects Steam, and MS Store users equally.
But it’s fair to say that this is likely to happen all over again this time next month.
