Upgraded to 1.23 and had my first CTD after a long time of stable operation.
Sim was flying perfect, was flying LFPG to EGCC on a CRJ1000 and everything worked wonderful until I crossed the English coast.
I used to have a lot of CTD’s before and managed to smooth them out so 1.22 was working great for me. Now I’m back to square 1 !!!
PC user. No Dev mod, PC with latest specs (Intel 12900K, 32Gb DDR 5 RAM, Z690 motherboard, game installed on a dedicated SSD internal drive, RTX 2070 Super (soon to be upgraded).
Why, Asobo already has your money, using it less saves Asobo even more as they save on server power.
You paid for it, you may as well try to get the most out of it.
Quick update :
I’ve managed (after several CTD’s from home screen) to update all the aircrafts/scenery in the official folder, as suggested by Asobo in the changelog. I’ve repaired the program from the settings>app screen.
I’ve rechecked all my drivers and settings
So far, even in safe mode the sim crashes when loading a flight. This is unacceptable as I know my sim was stable before SU8. Are we looking at another Asobo disaster ???
Continuous CTD unknown events in Longitude and CJ4 after update #8. Community file empty except mods and G3000 which are necessary. Nothing in system is being overtaxed and no clue as to cause but before update #8 CTD was very rare. Now I cannot complete a flight. And if I save and restart middle of flight I fly only a few minutes before another CTD will occur.
Well to be honest I dont care in the end anymore if there another sim I go there just pity for our money but we learn and dont buy any Asobo products anymore. so easy is life haha
CTD with flight between EBBR EGCC, Crash over London aera … FBW stable 7.4. Addon for EBBR and EGCC (but also London City) … Flgiht very smooth … I9 12900k, 64Gb Ram DDR4 on Z690 Asus Strix (no oc), RTX 3090, SSD Mvme 2to Gen4 AORUS, WIn11 on other SSD Samsung 2to 980pro… I try with a COMMODORE 64k
I am having CTD on the route of OPFA TO OPMT. AS SOON AS I TAKE OFF FROM OPFA 21L AND TURN RIGHT 5 to 7 DEGREES IT ctd AFTER 4 TO 5 MINS OF FLYING. If somebody can try that route and let me know if this thing is happening to their system as well even you don’t need to fly that route all you can do is to create custom starting point and try to load the sim and in my case sim wont load and CTD. pls check the images for reference and see if some body can help! me. its Mepap where sim crashes
thank you

right after SU8 with exactly the same settings I had incredible number of CTD cases, especially while on approach but not necessarily it also happens on apron out of the blue.
My understanding so far is that GPU usage seems to have been negatively effected.
I have had 2 CTDs (PC) since updating to SU8.
They seem random too. Last night in the middle of flying the staggerwing, in external view.
I had no CTDs at all with SU7/Jan patch/WU7, which were very stable. Have cleared rolling cache after update too.
Hoping it doesn’t get worse.
After some discussions with MS support , bringing my sim to what the called a “vanilla state” and delivering my DXDiag and MSInfo files the problem seems to be lying with my graphic drivers (Don’t know if SU8 changed anything but I’ll go with it)
Regular removal and reinstall of the driver (Nvidia’s latest is 511.79) the problem still came back, so I used the driver doomsday program, The DDU (you can download it from here : Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.4.9 .
Make sure you download your graphic driver into your download folder BEFORE using this program. After running DDU just make a fresh install of the driver.
This one worked for me and so far I had no crashes with the sim. Hopes it will work for you guys…
You’re meant to clear the Direct X shader cache after a NVidia driver update before using the new driver. It may be that that was what was causing CTD after 511.79 install. I’ll try installing 511.79 tonight as I’m still on the previous version. Useful to know it’s stable.
@BragRaindrop933 , The cache was cleared (one of the first things I did). As I mentioned, don’t just do a clean install using the driver installer, remove the VGA (via the device manger) and then DDU the rest.
Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be useful.
