Well, this particular problem only came after a new install. I had to newly install anyway, as msfs had just disappeared from my system all of a sudden. The files were still there but no entry in the start menu.
This here exactly worked for me! I did fresh install from steam today.
Reinstalling againā¦and when it asks to update now, I am going to decline and see where it goes from thereā¦

Iāve done 4-5 redownloads in the last 24 hours no success. Attempted all other file manipulation mentioned in the other post with little success. I guess we need to wait it out.

Hi all found a work around that will allow you to play for now.

navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore

delete any folder from this path. Make it a small one as you will have to redownload it in the next step

launch the game it will ask to redownload the previously deleted folder.

When prompted to update packages click āinstall laterā

play the game
If you click install packages now the game will close and you will get the error.
Not the best but atleast you can play now!

I have played Microsoft flight simulator more than half a year ago on this laptop. I played it via xbox game pass. I bought the game today and after installing i get the same issue everyone describes here. I have tried some of the fixes but they didnāt work.
The issue Iāve found with this is that there is no connectivity to other players. There as well seems to be issues with quality when I do that. My frame rates hover in the 30fps when 2 days ago it was consistently 50 plus

SU11 was too good to be true. it was obvious that something will appear to screw up our experience. Iām tired and regretful for thought to reinstall it today.
Same missing packages error for me as well. New install on windows 11 pc.
Spent last night & all day reinstalling & trying to figure out what they mean by āMissing Packagesā. Disconnected all mods. Noticed navigraph wouldnāt update charts & data so reinstalled and that went ok. but this, to put it kindly, is so ambiguousā¦its as if they are trying to get you nuts!!

Same either, last night from 11pm until now only searching for fixes, tickets to microsoft, 7-8 reinstalling, etcā¦and nothing changed, the same error re-appears like a nightmare :|. Iām new to MSFS but i didnāt expected to have this problems with such an acclaimed game.
