1.30.7.0 Xbox Unable to launch MSFS 40 Premium even after factory reset and fresh install

Honestly, MS should take a poll of users here about their Zendesk experiences. I personally find them to be dismissive of issues, and MS should shop for another provider. Just my opinion.

Are you on Xbox, or PC? I’m on Xbox, so that’s all I’m familiar with, and since I’ve been in beta testing basically since joining last May, I’ve become accustomed to uninstalling / resetting / re-installing.

The last time this happened to me was last week, a couple of days before AAU1 was finalized. I think I figured out that (on Xbox) it is somehow the User Data getting corrupted.

In ascending order of ā€˜Pain in the you-know-what’ you can try this:

  1. In MSFS, Sign OUT of your account by clicking on your username in the upper right corner of the screen. Quit MSFS, reboot, Open MSFS, and sign back in. …
  2. If that didn’t work … Do the above, but (on Xbox) ā€œManage game and addonsā€ for MSFS, and Delete just the User Data, and be sure to choose ā€œdelete everywhereā€ - note, this will erase your flight log, and any custome controller settings. When you launch MSFS, it will be as if for the first time, with the initial General Options. That’s what fixed it for me.
  3. If that didn’t work … do the above (sign out of MSFS, delete user data ā€˜everywhere’, uninstall MSFS, factory reset Xbox, reboot, sign in, re-install…
