Again acceptable… even if it looks better and better !
The stutterings at landings, or on ground are still existing.
I noticed that when you flight again from an airport you already used, performance are worse the second time. If you relaunch the sim they become acceptable, but not as if it was the first time.
performance is good until you land.
It is not the landing stutters itself, which have been removed (not 100%)
But performance is down on the arrival airport and it doesn’t recover.
If you start a new flight at the same airport, you have good performance again
Performance for me is great overall apart from Las Vegas, which has been like that since the update in 2020, and my framerate is completely destroyed by flying low over the strip.
Generally good but I still have stutters on landing. On the whole I like the new LOD/graphics but it does seem to have some slow loading issues with photogrammetry
Performance is good as long as you don’t make any view changes. Since SU2 beta view changes drop lots of frames and brings the CPU to spike. Still not resolved unfortunatly.
SU1 was working like a charm, something seems to be fundamentally wrong since SU2
Good performance with some occasional stutters, mostly landing. I am also experiencing the view changes. I use Track I.R. and any quick movement to look to the side results in a lag that clears up quickly after the view change stops. Example is looking from straight ahead out the side to the wing.
For me. After several tests from SU1 to the current 1.5.13, I always had FPS losses only with third party airports and A320, 321 and 330 inibuilds and B737 max8 aircraft (I don’t have fenix or PMDG). With other aircraft, such as ES-30, CESSNA 152, 172, 208 etc from Asobo I have no FPS loss, even at third party airports.
My hardware RTX 5070, RYZEN 9700X, 32GB 6400MHZ and Nvme 1tb gen4. Playing with high settings, only clouds on ultra and LODs 100, which for me is very good.
I’m liking this build and voted good. LOD is much better with the new LOD curve and stability is great meaning I haven’t had any CTD’s with this build. FPS remains about the same as previous builds so I’m happy with this build.
I just dont quite understand how some people have zero issues while for others the experience became really bad. Changing views sometimes turns the sim into a powerpoint presentation until it catches up again
Just did a flight with the PMDG. I had to turn my TLOD to 50 to get 30 fps. Normally I have it at 180. Something is clearly going on with this build. I wonder if it‘s the low performance around dense scenery areas they mentioned?
Best performance from this sim to date. FPS (or frametime in my case as I use vsync) is the most stutter free it’s been…that is outside of the landing phase at an airport where stutters are an ever present! However I would say taxiing around an airport is pretty good and at smaller facilities the occasional stutter is negligible over previous MSFS2024 builds and vastly improved over MSFS2020.
I wouldn’t say FPS is any better than previous SU3 builds but that’s fine by me; a constant 30fps doubled to 60 using FSR/vsync is more than enough. The 33msecs max frametime that this affords is easily above the 10-24msec I get even in a complex aircraft over busy scenery hence virtually no stutters. My mark is 8/10 and hopes for landing stutters to be eliminated in future.

Even with pre-caching set to ultra, there is slow loading of assets when panning the camera, though the performance is good, and lod’s are good, it’s not as great caching-wise as SU2.
Airliners have too low FPS for practical use for me. 5950/3090/64GB. I can’t squeeze anything more out of them when I have AI traffic injected (via BATC), I’ve tried numerous things. This is Fenix (at the default Gaya EGLL), but I was seeing equally bad performance with default B738. Strangely FPS performance wasn’t this bad post SU1 & the answer can’t be we all need better hardware. This sim is great for GA (which I don’t do much of), but airliners right now are just useless because FPS is too low and I’m only trying to target 20FPS (so I can use lossless scaling for FG).
I’ve not tried switching over to DLSS but I’m using the NVidia app for the latest preset already (Also tried preset K). I’m not GPU bound though I am Mainthread bound. I can happily switch GPU over to DLSS Performance and see the same FPS number. Tried a whole host of things, but FPS just ends up at 13-14. I also see GSX hitting FPS at the gate (expected) but FPS doesn’t recover like normal. There’s something not right about tis SU3 beta on my system for airliners. You don’t notice this with GA flying. In FS2020 under all scenarios with all airliners and complex airports I could target and get a steady 20FPS which I could then use FG on to get 60FPS with lossless scaling app.
