Landing at John lennon and there were some major stuttering. Only consolation was the approach pattern was the same pattern as real life planes do over my house here in North Wales. Hope they can sort out the stuttering on release of su3
Hey Iām in north wales too, currently trying a short hop from Barcelona in the dream liner stutter galore, going to give the beluga a go next from Hawarden to Toulouse
Problems with the MCDU inibuilds a320 in that you canāt manually add waypoints.

I just tried my usual test flight for the Beta builds: default A321 LR from CYYZ to CYOW.
Unable to enter information into EFB as neither the Xbox keyboard nor the internal EFB keyboard are available.
If I canāt enter the flight information I canāt fly.
End of test.
Iāll try again on the next build.
By the way, the last three builds had problems with entering data, the last two with working with the flight management computer. This time itās the EFB.
Todayās flight
Xbox series x
Peripherals:
Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo yoke and throttle, keyboard, mouse, Xbox controller
Canada scenery downloaded and installed.
Default aircraft downloaded and installed.
PG on, multiplayer on, live traffic, live weather, real time.
Aircraft used: BlackSquare Duke B60T
Flight plan: CYVR - CYXT, IFR
Took 2 restarts and 3 attempts at creating the flightplan before a flyable session was established.
Highlights:
Decent frame rate, no CTD.
Lowlights:
Flight plan not fully uploaded to avionics even though ATC received it, telling me to continue to waypoints listed in EFB but not in avionics flight plan. This was persistent in the session, even after 3 sim exits and restarts. In the first half of the flight I could manual enter the additional waypoints but not in the last half.
Scenery abruptly changes LOD, no fade in, which is a step backwards.
The weather was ātickingā through changes in the clouds where the cloud shapes ātickedā at 1 second intervals, changing shape/intensity/lighting (or at least rhythmically) until I was above the cloud layer. I noticed this the other day for the first time and remained through the climb out on this flight.
Scenery lines mentioned in a previous post remain and are especially visible over water. I have noticed some of these lines at about 500ft AGL that are reminiscent of the old horizon line in fs2020.
ATC is untrustworthy - period. Instructed to descend 100nm ahead of transition fix (13,000 foot elevation change) offered to cancel my IFR (there was 100% cloud cover with no openings so even VFR over the top would have left me no way to get through the clouds) and then left me 6000 feet above my glide slope intercept elevation and next cleared me to the approach. This happens regularly at non-control towered airports that I fly to (and all of these airports actually have towers and controllers in real life so this is a very frustrating immersion killer). Maybe update the options list in the ATC window ?
Wind shear/turbulence nearing the threshold is almost unflyable. I was being bounced around like an ultralight but I was flying a turbine Duke, and while not an airliner, has decent wing loading and should be able to handle a 9kt angled headwind. I have experienced this crazy turbulence in the B60T, the F33A, PA-28, Lear 35, all with the similar effect, weight, approach speed or aircraft didnāt make any difference.
As a beta testing volunteer, there is a certain amount of flexibility and understanding required one has to exhibit when flying in this environment. Sometimes this means lots of restarts or CTDs or imperfect performance or any number of issues that crop up. So yes, the positives for this fly, decent frame rate, no CTD are a step forward, but the other issues, some of which happen regularly or are frustrating single events, do not give the impression that overall quality improvements are making much progress. Progress is being made, it just feels slow. If the SU3 release is supposed to be next week, there still feels like a lot of work needs to be done for this to happen.
Hello
The engine sound on the Airbus aircraft sounds a bit too quiet. It was better in the SU2.
And in free flight no passengers are shown and during pushback no ground staff monitoring the pushback are shown like on the PC version. It could of course be a mod, but I donāt knowā¦

Flying the A321lr
The same as usual, take off fine, reasonably smooth, LOD pretty good, a few pop ups. Climbed to cruising at 39000ft and still very smooth. Then as usual approaching the destination the stutters start, micro at first then they get worse, especially on final and on landing. Iāve decided until hopefully the stutters disappear then I wonāt switch off Autopilot until the last few hundred feet. Turning it off any time before and it gets difficult landing because of the stutters
When this latest beta build released last week, I was able to enjoy (relatively) good performance compared to the last few builds.
Something has gone drastically wrong this weekend. The performance Iāve had whilst on the ground and on finals has been absolutely abysmal, rendering the sim almost impossible to use.
Xbox series x. The stuttering I am getting on the ground at default airports in the default a320N V2 has been really poor from the get go these last few days. It is such a struggle to get the plane set up and in the air.
Once in the air (if I get airborne without CTD), the performance is absolutely fine.
When on finals, about 1000ft from the runway, the ground textures all of a sudden turn to mush and my frame rates drop to still images. The freezing, stuttering and invisible textures are some of the worst Iāve experienced to date on this sim.
Iām not sure if the additional telemetry has been re-enabled? But good grief, this is really poor.
Same here,
Randomly good and bad performance
7 CTDs at various stages of the flight in su3 1.5.13.0
EFB usage in flight, disconnects the AP and sends the aircraft into spin and on some occasions it disables the instruments, sensitivity of controller changes
Anti Ice disconnects the AP
There are periods of smooth performance and periods of poor performance that I have never experienced before. I am talking up to 3 seconds of freeze time.

This is not good news at all and I appreciate everyone testing SU3
Side note the inconsistancies of performance is very apparent in the current retail SU2 build. 1 day Iāll get acceptable performance rated 8/10, the very next day itās a 4/10. Same aircraft, same mission parameters, completely different results.
There are larger issues at play in the background, probably due to the streaming stuff and server side or our local internet
We will never be able to rule out server side, streaming stuff until we can fully download the sim on our consoles, clearly itās not working in the SU3 beta. This didnāt happen in 2020, not even once. It was either bad all the time or good all the time and would only change when there was a patch
I have bad news for you. You can fully download the sim on SU3, but nothing improved.
Which leads one to believe that the problem was never the streaming, but the processing and rendering.
In short, a lack of VRAM or a lack of optimization (or both).
I think that the Xbox version needs to be adjusted in terms of graphics etc. because a PC has a bit more power and the Xbox canāt keep up with data processing, which is why there is stuttering at the airports in my opinionā¦
FS2020 had stuttering at airports too at one time and they managed to fix that so they can (should be able to) fix it in FS2024. If an airport can be smooth in FS2020 on XBox then it should also be smooth in FS2024. I mean, is the program updated or not?
Yes, thatās true, itās fine-tuning, something isnāt right with the data processing yet, but the developers have to test it themselves on the Xbox⦠Thatās why I donāt understand why they canāt patch it out.
Yeah, if they get rid of the stuttering at destination airports it would help a lot. Manual flying final in airliners is really difficult with the stutters
Did a short 1.5 hour flight from SABE (Buenos Aires) to SBPA (Porto Alegre) on the 737 MAX.
No CTDs.
Great performance during start-up, take-off and climb (LOD included). However, nearing T/D stuttering started to become more apparent and landing was almost like a slide-show.
I am using the MAX because I cannot turn on ground power/batteries on the A320 from cold and dark.
Also, when left unattended, the game goes into pause menu on the XBOX. After 15 minutes in-flight this menu becomes a trap (no controller response at all). Fixed it by connecting a USB mouse.
Go into power settings on your Xbox. There will be a āshow tips when idleā box ticked. Untick this and your problems go away
Yeah, this works. I use to have Spotify on in the background but no need to anymore
Todays flight had this unusual āevery three secondā pause for the entire flight. I think it was caused by me starting out by spending some time in the Marketplace and then I went into settings to play around with the Exposure setting to see if changing it still changed other values like Data Tracking reset Day or Camera Zoom Speedā¦and it does. I thought about restarting XBox and sim but I wanted to see how the sim acted andā pause, every three seconds⦠at least it was an enjoyable short flight otherwise (from KPVD to KFOK)(strong head wind the entire way)
