Mainthread getting hammered again, especially after my long haul flights. Majority of the flight I get 100+ fps with frame gen, but when it comes to TOD and arrival, the sim’s performance degrades to 60-70fps with 25-30m/s frame times and stutters.

I just want to be able to land with performance as good as when I took off.

There are stutters on final approach, so voted poor.

I didn’t have any major stutters like before this morning, but I had a lot more of the vram maxed out popups. Other than that and the terrible clouds it was a decent flight.

Yes. Seeing this too. At TakeOff and Approach I get horrible Frametimes, up to 1500MS, means 1,5 Sec Stutter. And that is with 9900X3D, 5090 RTX and 64GB RAM.

Here at 1500FT Takeoff Climb

I’ve also experienced these stutters accompanied by CPU spikes in various builds, including the current 1.6.22.0.

What’s surprising is that there were some builds in between where they didn’t occur under the same conditions. For example, 1.6.19.0 ran without a single stutter for me.
It feels like there are alternating builds that have this issue, and then one or two builds later, it’s like someone flipped a switch and it’s gone.

Whenever a build has these CPU spikes, there are also other side effects, like input lag, stuttering menus, camera panning stutter, etc. Now, I can almost predict whether I’ll get these CPU spikes just by noticing these “secondary symptoms” in a specific build.

I’d really be interested in the details of the state machine and rendering engine that differ from build to build.

Very good peformance in EDDF with a lot of traffic

My goodness… difficult to formulate how annoying it is with stutters…. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Mainthread its just killed the cpu problems are giant to the newest update and the vram usage is 15%higher since the last update i used to have 25ms delay at mainthread and now i have 45-55ms and vram 15%higher as i said

For me, outside airports, performance is good to great.

Performance at airports is still a gamebreaking microstutter mess → overall “acceptable”

Voted Great. 100+ FPS and no stuttering. Maxed out aside from Terrain LOD at 300.

I’ve experienced terrible stutters in the main menu.

AMD here - tried older drivers and vanilla Sim of the .22 - still haven’t figured it out yet but seems like FreeSync doesn’t work anymore - also the Dev Mode seems to put the game into a bordered frame - did anyone else notice that? Did they change the render window somehow?

For me, it’s currently completely messed up =/

Also ingame vsync doesn’t work and causes massive tearing and the AMD overlay flickers, I think k it doesn’t catch focus correctly. Works fine in windowed mode…

AMD user as well. While V-Sync works here, the performance seems to be worse than the previous build and navigating the menu feels more sluggish/less snappy.

9950X3D + RTX5090 + 64RAM and so far this is the worst performance wise, the stutter is not good at all.

Performance seems to be less good. Experiencing more audio stutters and micro stutters than in previous builds.

9950X3D / RTX5090 / 64GB and performance in 4K is ok. I did also update latest nvidia driver and cleared all the usual caches and rolling cache, but after a while everything is running ok. Performance gains in SU4 beta alltogether are great.

I just flew .22 for the first time.

KPRB > KWVI (both auto-gen) in the BLSQ Bonanza VFR (no ATC) and all my usual no traffic/parked/services/characters/fauna.

The flight was mighty smooth – even when I landed, and turned off the runway for post-flight config. I thought I might be seeing the first stutter-free flight in many builds. Unfortunately, as I continued my taxi to parking, I experienced one pretty strong stutter, but that was it!

I need to do some flying into some hand-crafted airports and with ATC/traffic, but this is looking better, for me.
