These tooltips take the user for a fool, they are unnecessary and clutter the view even more than it already is when navigating the screen. Having the stupid arrow for the toolbar poping up when moving the cursor is bad enough.
I can’t be the only one that is annoyed by their constant bad decisions regarding changes to the UI.

I never heard people complain about those tooltips in FS20, but maybe I missed it.
I think the better suggestion is to make them optional. Many probably turn off the tooltips for cockpit items, but others might find them useful. Same here, I reckon.
Right now, turning the cockpit tooltips off still makes the menu bar tooltips show. That seems counterintuitive.
Should be off default with the option to turn them on in Flight interface. But they do look like a right mess especially with some having a sloped edge and others flat
What’s really strange is I cannot get them to appear at all in 1.8.5.0. I haven’t yet tried with all my addon content disabled - my guess is that it is being overridden/blocked by //42’s Flow.
