1.9.5.0 - autopilot dolphin dance (oscillations) still an issue

Yes, you are right. Below that altitude the rolling is not an issue, and the ILS is working fine. Shame though, I really enjoy flying this aircraft but it’s plagued by bugs/errors

I found out that the pitch oscillations on Beech craft air 350iare gone with modern flight model, the flight model was on legacy you have to switch it to “modern” .

The following is a simple demonstration of longitudinal stability. Trim the aircraft for “hands off” control in level flight. Then, momentarily give the controls a slight push to nose the aircraft down. If, within a brief period, the nose rises towards the original position, the aircraft is statically stable. Ordinarily, the nose passes the original position (that of level flight) and a series of slow pitching oscillations follows. If the oscillations gradually cease, the aircraft has positive stability; if they continue unevenly, the aircraft has neutral stability; if they increase, the aircraft is unstable.

Hey all! Going through some bugs that hasn’t seen a lot of action since a few updates ago. Wondering if this issue still persists for you after the latest update?

Jepp, it is still an issue on the Longitude at least. It goes left-right this time. I made a bug report two weeks ago, but it might take time, till the attention is back on this issue. But thanks for looking after this.

There a a few threads like this that go idle nearly a month and then get revived by someone just because the title matches. I call them “zombie” threads and vote to stick a stake through their heart (lock and archive them).

My justifications:

  1. The old posts are misleading and often no longer apply.

  2. New posts on top of very old ones only dilute the impact and focus of legitimate new issues.

  3. A new topic can be opened if a similar, current issue occurs.

Thanks for making the forum better,

B
