1151 Socket Mother Board

I’m looking for good performance socket 1151 mb recommendations. Upgrading to i9 9900 CPU. Hoping I can transfer my ram 288 pin DDR 4

I have an Aorus z390 pro wifi, hasn’t really caused me any issues. A bit pricey at the moment.

My general recommendation is not to skimp, go mid-range (>$150 or so) at the very least; they have features that can save your butt if you screw up.

Slightly lower spec z390 ASUS Tuf Gaming and a 9900k here, there’s some of the wifi version in stock at reasonable pricing. ($210 USD)

I can’t believe I just saw my year old motherboard EBaying used at $500+???

I have a Gigabyte Aorus z370 Gaming 5.
Its an OK board, but frankly I wish I had selected an Asus board instead.
My experience with Asus has always been better with regards to bios updates and general firmware and hardware quality.
For example, on my Gigabyte, the VRMs can get too hot under some circumstances. It can be modded, but it’s a headache. Also the tiny cables leading to the wifi module fell apart on arrival. I don’t need the wifi module, but it should not have happened.
Never had this type of issues with ASUS.
