When I flew in real life I often monitored the emergency frequency, 121.5. I’ve seen in some posts where folks have mentioned they monitor this frequency in FS2020. I was just wondering if there is a specific reason for this or is it just part of the immersion factor.
I’m pretty sure that there is no game-play reason to monitor it.
Though it would be interesting if dynamic missions were generated one day and the emergency frequency was used to sometimes used as a trigger for S/AR type missons.

The emergency frequency has no use in-game, so likely just for immersion.
You´d only need some people shouting “on guaaaard!!!” randomly and the immersion would be perfect…

I saw the title 121.5 and, yes! Exactly what I was thinking! 
That should probably be added to the ATC phraseology!

Though oddly enough they took the time to model the G1000 units auto-tuning 121.5 if you press and hold the Com1-2 frequency swap button for 5 seconds. Makes me wonder if they have something way down the roadmap for emergencies.
