Me too, 13 years old at the time.
We had a school excursion.
CN Rail from Halifax, and a week long stay at Loyola in the Dorm.
Train, food, entrance to the fair and accommodation included, $50.00 for the trip!!!

Went in 70, I was 5, flew on a Yellowbird, stayed at the QE Hotel

All I remember from the trip is I was stuck in the back of a station wagon, with my 2 brothers, for what seemed to be a year going up from Connecticut, with comic books to soften the blow of the trip…LOL.

I cycled around it late 90s after finishing uni. I used to watch F1 as a kid and was shocked by how much change in elevation there is around the track! You just don’t notice that on tv.

That’s very interesting…about how far was it around?
4.3km supposedly (had to look it up). Felt longer as we kept on stopping to look at stuff!
