Is it because I have a low post count that I can not post to almost any topic, including the one I have a question about?
Second,
I have been away for almost a year, I go to fly the standard issue 787 and no matter what I try, I can not get navigation to work now. I even put everything on easy…did they break it with a recent update?

the forum has a lot of generic anti-spam measures that unlock as you interact more. it’s honestly kind of annoying but i get why that’s enabled
a few months ago they did a major update to the 747 and 787 avionics, which makes them work more like the real units. this does however mean that procedures that you used to follow may not work with the new, more realistic behavior of the avionics. there are a number of threads on the forum about these updates (i don’t have a link handy but you can try the search function or navigate the topics to the specific aircraft areas) and there are a bunch of tutorials online. For people who like video tutorials, these are very popular and there are a lot on youtube (i don’t have a link handy myself because i mostly fly GA planes and haven’t referenced the 747/787 updates in detail myself)

Making it more realistic…I’m all for that. What threw me off was that I put everything to easy which usually will enable you to navigate with just a few clicks.
