Well I’ve been fine so far, so I just dont know whats happened. I have a high spec gaming PC, RTX 2080Ti, and Ryzen 9 3900X, 32gig nice fast ram, great mobo and rm1000x ps, you get the gist, a decent enough rig and I’ve populated it with some nice fast SSD’s as well. MS2020 is on the fastest one.
All of a sudden, the game is just randomly locking the whole sheebang, no alt tabbing or using DV solves it.
I did recently get Navigraph charts and have started flying the TBM 930, but nothing else has changed.
I’m an hour into a nice flight, coming in to the GS and the ‘game’ (sim) locks up my PC.
I’ve never had this happen with any other game.
TIA
John
Try turning off VFR map, multiplayer, live traffic, AI traffic, there is problem with crashing using these, it might solve problem.
Hi bud, cheers, I’ll give it a go, but has been working fine previously. Switching off stuff on a (sim??) game like this is like saying, hey, don’t run your FPS shooter at 4k, run it at 1080 or it crashes… Wont wash with the FPS guys.
If your whole PC is locking up, I’d suspect something else (drivers, etc.) that’s locking up Windows itself.

Hi, no just 2020, won’t respond even to task manager. PC fine otherwise but can only get 2020 working with a hard reboot.
I have fixed the task manager in the task bar, very useful with my simulators…
Weird that you can’t kill the process from task manager. IDK?
Im guessing he means that he cant even open the task manager. I have encountered that once on a fs2020 freeze. Had to turn the computer off.
Aye, it’s sporadic, sometimes works, sometimes not, bit like the pilot
WTW it’s only the zoom that is borked mouse wise, which means map panning etc is goosed. I’m really, really hoping this sim isn’t preparing for console dollars, where a mouse and keyboard are perhaps beyond the target audience £££…
Take a peek at the Event Viewer. You’d be surprised what you find there. This morning (in my case) it was Adobe’s updater that crashed the machine.
Bye-bye Adobe software!
Hasn’t crashed since.

Just to check the storage drive isn’t almost full isit? As when I only had 1 ssd with windows and the sim installed on it, when the drive was almost completely full it causes freezing and things would take an age to load.
