It’s valid to MSFS2024 because that’s where the imagery comes from.
OP asked about MSFS2024’s Asia landscape, and I told them to look at Bing because that’s where MSFS’s imagery comes from.
Not sure why that it so hard to understand.

it won’t be since they using AI to build 3D model by help of earth scanning satellite photographs
It is a govt thing - In addition to the physical great wall of China, there is a digital great wall of China as well, most other Asian governments fare just slightly better.
It is true that governments can (and some do) provide high quality sat or elevation data … e.g. to projects like Bing or MSFS.
However, nothing is preventing Bing from getting good sat images for money from some sat image data provider. And the Bing sat data in Asia is, as many already pointed out above, not the best quality.
To be a little more concrete I just made a screenshot in Bing in the east of China:
Such data must be a big headache for Asobo.
In a certain way I think that, if I understood Jorg correctly in one of the interviews, our usage of MFS allows them to put more money into getting better data.
Now it seems obvious that they …
… but then the sat image problems that can be seen above also exist in places like … the US. Just yesterday I enjoyed looking around New Mexico … and in some parts the high res images have been made in winter (with some snow) and the low res sat images have been take without snow … different colors in different LODs … looks “confusing”.
Our planet is big and it seems obvious to me that MFS is far from being perfect. But from what I see they are really trying hard to make it better step by step.
I agree, thy are trying hard to make it better with whatever they can and covering the entire planet with sat images is going to be very expensive if not impossible.
I am also sure high res images do exist for all countries - distributing them publicly is a different matter altogether that involves legal aspects that brings in a completely different dimension. I was listening to a vid the other day where it was said MSFS can mimic damage in aircraft but doesn’t do it as the manufacturers forbid them else it will result in either withdrawal of support form them or legal aspects in worst case.
Bottomline is, many a times technology permits but regulations and compliance aspects do not that force the hand of devs.
Absolutely. We can be pretty certain that the US and European governments have very high fidelity maps of every inch of North Korea and China from satellite data, but this is not for public consumption due to its military nature. Putting it in a flight sim could cause a diplomatic incident.
