2024 Career Mode

I need more cargo aircraft for my cargo fleet for light cargo and medium cargo options

For Light I would recommend checking out the Aeroprakt A-32 Vixxen (Got Friends) and the GippsAero GA8 Airvan (SimWorks Studios).

For Medium I actually really like the Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander (Blackbox Simulations) though it’s two main issues are lower-quality 3D modeling/textures and limited mission generation due to cargo capacity/range - though hopefully the former can be improved over time and the latter can be fixed by Asobo, but we’ll see.

I have the GA8 add on and it’s my only career mode aircraft right now because I can’t trust the Cessna 208B in career mode, I love the light missions the most and was hoping the Cessna 207 would make it in but so far it’s just the ga8 for my fleet

Looking through all the available options, Light cargo has the least amount of available aircraft in career mode

I found myself using the DHC-2 for most light cargo now, I just like it more (although have Cessna’s, and used the Draco quite a bit to expand the map)

Mostly C408s, PC12s and PC24s in medium cargo, I do have one C208. I never had the issues that others describe with it, but I like the C408 more, and the Pilatus are super versatile and can do the biggest reward missions.

That’s not true at all?

While my breaks on my rudder pedal’s are not working so I just just have the toggle button, so I just fly the GA8 and wish we had more options of aircraft that size also available in career mode is what I ment

On positive note I got a vip aircraft fleet now

Guys, in airliners in career, which is the best place to load performance data? In some there are 2 EFB’s, obviously we also have simbrief, which also has a performance section, and the MCDU/CDU. Ultimately which performance data trumps the others and is used by MCDU?

My head is spinning because nothing seems to match.

In one place you tell it to load pax and fuel, then the mcdu says not enough fuel…… and so on.

I change the iniBuilds preferences so that weight/balance uses ZFW instead of number of passengers, then input the SimBrief values into the iniBuilds weight/balance tab, then copy them to the iniBuilds takeoff calculator, then copy the result of that into the iniBuilds MCDU, and accept the transferred results. this mostly seems to work.

Thanks for that, the process was driving me nuts :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It depends on the aircraft, I usually check the MSFS EFB fuel and weight and if they don’t match I would manually enter the data into the inibuilds tablet, this action eventually synchs back to the Asobo EFB. So I think you can manipulate the fuel post fuel payment in the inibuilds planes (just like their fleet can’t Sim rate fuel burn). Always check the fuel page in the MCDU just in case the MCDU is having snooze and doesnt synch

Was doing a cargo flight and saw an ai beech 1900D on the ground along with an ai 767 in the background with a bunch of ai Embrear aircraft knowing that they are all ai aircraft and not flyable and usable aircraft in career mode :frowning:

The work it takes to get a visual model of an aircraft for AI traffic is about 1% of what it would take to get that same aircraft available for Career mode (or even Free Flight use), unfortunately.

My cirrus vision jet just crashed somehow so now I’m going to have to sell the third caravan off again career mode, the main source of my problem is my saitek pro flight autopilot panel not functioning with fs2024’s system and I all of a sudden hit an overcast cloud system out of nowhere

Hilariously the game failed me so much I have 0 career mode income and can’t sell off anything  (went from in game 2 million to zero due to the game constantly failing me)

Yes it is doing this all the time. I’ve stopped playing it due to the losses. Hoping for some fixes eventually.

If you have a bunch of planes you might be have some passive income coming your way, that’s how i got saved from my caravan crashing

In career mode, I have a GA8 airvan in cargo and tbm for vip, my next fleet goals was to get a caravan and pc12

Yes, 100%. However you should make certain repairs first, where the returns are much more than the cost. Lights are a big one, you get back the repair cost many times in resale value if they are at least somewhat worn. In Electrical, certain ones like “Circuit” and a few others have huge boosts in resale value, as do oil, tires, etc. Flight surfaces are generally a net negative. When I needed a cash boost to buy my first big jet (a340), I found that I could buy the cheapest used aircraft, immediately fix those certain items that return more than the cost, and walk away with a net increase. I think I got around $10MM in 30 min this way. The drawback is that you can no longer purchase those used aircraft for some time.
