Curious, did you notice recently that your G 8 Airvan no longer works for light cargo and has been moved to medium cargo? At first discovery I was pleased at the prospect of making more money however it seems the Airvan doesn’t have the range to handle the plentiful 3 hour medium cargo missions.
I ended up selling both my airvans.

Didn’t see that yet very disappointing, now I have to wait until either a Technam p2006T comes out with career mode support for a light cargo aircraft or someone develops a Cessna 206 for high performance aircraft for light cargo aircraft
Plus I’m currently doing light vip flights instead of light cargo now so I’m now actually waiting for more vip aircraft now that I can’t use the GA8, which if we go by IRL fleet use,would be waiting for a Beechcraft b1900d (JET VIP flys them), metroliner (it’s actually in the primer aviation fleet) CRJ 200 (contour uses their old ones for private charters) and erj 135 for vip transport (ASL group operates these)
I haven’t seen rotorcraft firefighting missions anywhere…Maybe an idea for future updates..
We are not going to see any meaningful career mode updates or fixes. It’s clearly obvious given the sub par SU5 beta and it’s lack of career mode focus
The VIP missions have been broken for 15months, something that would take a day to fix on their side. Not even a career mode server side hotfix. No communication, career mode currently has never been this close to vaporware, maybe 12 small meaningless updates since SU4, and that came via the next beta.
It’s a real shame because the best addition to career mode in the last 6 months is the 3rd party Honda jet and there are no missions, or just a few poor ones, to actually use it. Shame
If you are on PC or Xbox the Miltech Mission hub has this along with all kinds of excellent mission types. I rarely play career mode now because this is so much more interesting to me.
Are those military missions or cargo and passenger etc.

I’m not here to change your “they’re never going to fix anything” doomsday mindset but I would like to at least call out that this has been fixed since the first SU5 beta.
It does have military themed missions available, like sonar detection for subs, or Coastguard rescues, etc. that aren’t in the MSFS 2024 game but also has all the basic stuff. You do missions with a 747 if you wanted to, can do a PC-12 Medevac, can do a VIP flight in Citation CJ4, cargo deliveries in a 172, etc. But you can create whatever you want too, they have astronaut rescues, rescue a skier, fly the President around, respond to a car crash and take people to the hospital, inspect powerlines, search for a shark attack victim, etc. Can use any helicopter or plane you want for the most part. I find creating the missions as fun as playing them.

The only missing default aircraft for career mode is the metroliner iii, dash 8 200 for cargo, 717 200/ a220 passenger size aircraft, having a default Boeing 767 or 757 to match the Airbus a300 and 310, and CRJ 200 for vip transport
Only for Private Charter and Medevac, unfortunately. VIP Charter would be a game changer as they are much longer and better paying missions on proper airports. Private Charters are mostly unsuitable for this aircraft.

For some reason, all Charter missions have VIP in their logos.

Yes, it has ever been thus which is why I was annoyed the Piaggio could not be used for VIP. EU has some too. There is a bug log I and probably others have voted in. @Zadma suggested it had been fixed in Beta SU5.
Sounds like the next few weeks we will have a few new turboprops, including the Kodiak this week, ATR and F27 when SU5 drops, so things are looking up in terms of aircraft and mission variety. The Kodiak will surely be the best career mode aircraft at the time it’s released, it was a killer in 2020. Hoping for some float missions medium cargo or VIP float missions
This one has me a bit concerned as it was supposed to be Career compatible at launch as far as I know, but it’s not. iniBuilds’ NAMC YS-11 and A350 were also briefly Career compatible at launch and no longer are, so something’s not quite right with iniBuilds’ grasp on Career requirements it seems.
