In the Beta’s you can always have a go. All the licences and 1st party planes that are enabled for the different company limits.
It’s like a sandbox mode.
Bearing in mind that any progress does not carry over to the flighting.
aaaah ok! well they should open that up. just make it disabling-rewards or however this super-gamified steam-system and what-not is called and let people enjoy the sandbox.
thanks for clarifying!
Roughly 5,000 ft
Well that would be why - landing lights on under 10,000ft is standard protocol across the world.
Well rules changed in the simulator, Upgrades. I did not know that, probably because I have only flew once in a 737, a float plane when I was 10 and a Cessna 130 when I was 14. I’ve flown simulators for almost 30 years or more. Never knew that rule. It triggered at exactly 10 miles from the airport does it need lights on below 10,000 all the time or just within 10 miles of a city and under 10K.?
Likely varies by SOP but I’ve always treated it as if it’s on under 10k no matter how far I was from anything - and turned on higher if flying in a high-elevation area (in some places 10k is already pretty close to the ground). I think this is covered in the night currency certification but it may not be.
It also never triggered on the way up still talking to ATC at 2,000 feet going to 14K I usually turn them off. I learned by trial and error. Last 18 years stuck on MSFS X with no internet unable to communicate with anyone.
Yeah I don’t think there’s a penalty for having them on above 10k.
We’re just missing a 767 300/300ER, and 300F and 757 200 to fully complete the Boeing platform in career mode, I’m well aware of both the Captain Sim products and the bluebird products but I would love to see those two Boeing platforms in career mode to have more freighter’s and passenger aircraft
The MD-11 is also a great option in that category, and it is available in Career right now.
I just got the Learjet 35 this month, so that might be my August expensive aircraft ![]()
Boeings ending production of the 767 next year so I’m very surprised we didn’t get anything about any of the 767 300/300F in any local legends or famous flyers or an extra default aircraft yet as tribute to that air frame (for career mode purposes)
Do you really think they would commision an airliner for us as a FF or Expert series? That would be a ton of money for a dev and take years.
It would be much easier just to gently coax those devs already in the sim in free flight to make them career compatible.
I flew most of the current career mode fleet already and have not really flown Career mode this week because we have not gotten anything new yet, was spending more time in my ships at sea career and fs25 than my fs2024 career
It’s not giving me the ‘no skips’ bonus anymore. Please, don’t tell me it’s because I’m using simrate.
It can’t be, must be a bug if it continues happening. See if anyone else is getting same - These payouts are very inconsistent, one minute you get it and the next not.
That’s a problem because if it is inconsisent they will never repro it. ![]()
I think this has been happening since I changed aircraft and switched from the 737-800 MAX to the Inibuilds A320neo. Now I’ll try to do one flight with the 737 and one with the A320, still using simrate. Let’s see if that’s the problem. Though I doubt it.
I stand corrected. I can’t fly with the 737 anymore. It won’t let me select it for any mission. Great, I try to fix one bug and a new one pops up.

Another flight with the A320neo and still no ‘no skip’ bonus. Plus, on the flight summary screen, you can see the plane suspended in mid-air crashing to the ground, and you can hear the flight attendants’ announcements saying that passengers are shaken up by turbulence. No kidding!![]()

Let me know if any of you are experiencing similar issues. At least we can open a report. Tomorrow, when I get back to flying, I’ll try a flight with a different aircraft to see if it gives me the ‘no skip’ bonus.
