Or it means they originally were going to add them and now can’t be bothered! I am so disappointed by that. We have so many great aircraft in the sim now with floats and missions would be brilliant around all the islands. Longer missions to mimic the old 1940 and 50’s routes.
Yes agree tremendous missed opportunity
They butchered the Twin Otter can’t use
The Kodiak is a brilliant aircraft and can’t use the floats
A400 can’t use
ATR can’t use
But here have some filters, or in this case, take some (that never worked) away
An overhaul of the tedious fleet management and maintenance is also overdue. A fleet of +50 becomes more of a headache to maintain one by one, than an enjoyable game play. We just sit there and click the same 4 option in a row over and over again, just to do maintenance. This is not gameplay. It’s fun for the first 5 planes, not +50. By the time we have a fleet that big there must be another option like subcontracting a company to just do it for an additional percentage or some other alternative.
At least, go down the path of least development time and give us a repair all option.
Wish we could get some more regional jets and an earlier 737 platform (with freighters) in the game, I still haven’t reached owning a jet because career mode took away my 737 max 8 the first flight after loading it in
I’m still very much enjoying it, especially now we have TFDI and Flight FX.
I wanted to test the LVFR A380, it was in Sydney, and there were only 4 passenger missions most of them short, nothing over 10hrs for the A380. Fail
So back in the Citation X VIP exploring unlocking Europe has been really fun, great LOD everywhere in the Citation X, great sounds, the immersion turbulence shakes on final approach with the career mode music is peak MSFS2024 for me. Every landing is like a final boss and the VIP mission generator, whilst not perfect, generally gets me places I haven’t been before, and some of them have been wild strips lol but this is where you can get stuck with no missions out
Also VIP you can use the time of departure slider (for most of the day), something you cannot do in passenger.
No, I meant the fact there is only 4 passenger missions out of Sydney and none really suitable for an A380 (nothing long haul) so my test was aborted. There used to be 30+ missions
I wish someone in Asobo/MS would tell us what the issue is with missions. Why some aircraft are supposed to be enabled for Career but are not! Why some the Saab 340 was removed from Cargo missions so long ago now and sre yet to return so they can be repaired and fly!
So I got the 737 max 8, loaded up a flight in it spawned it in and it got 100 percent damage the insurance couldn’t cover the cost, this game is more set up for spawning in regional aircraft than big ones
I had 3 flight’s today ruined by rouge default ai, I ran out of fuel 3 times doing go around due to ATC not making the player the priority, no traffic settings options going through everything also basically it fails you for emergency landing
I had one strange career flight yesterday. And it was the first time that Career Mode problems surfaced in SAR landing helicopter missions, at least for me, since I only bought MSFS 2024 when SU2 was released.
Just as I was about to enter the search circle, I saw the light/mirror of the missing person right in front of me. So as soon as the call for entering the circle came, I was already flying an approach, and activated the “found” radio call when I was about tree height.
The curious thing was that this seemed to be the exact same spot of a previous mission, but with a different search circle. Because the person was in the same spot I already knew that, despite the terrain being a little tilted, there was a leveled rocky spot where I’d previously landed and I aimed for it. This was something like 6m from the orange tent.
Got the call of “we are landing” just as I was about to touchdown, but then I got something that had never occurred in any missions before, “we have landed in the wrong location” or something like that, and told me to lift off before the mission failed.
I couldn’t see the person (sometimes they get hidden below the ground) but I was right next to the tent. So I got back into a hover and moved my Hughes 500 closer to the tent, and landed again. This time I saw the “Land close to…” objective go green, but a second or two after, I got a “Mission Failed” and it returned me back to the debriefing screen, deducting me a lot of the reputation rating
I wonder if the person got into the helicopter while I was still airborne and messed up the mission logic I really hope this was a one time fluke because these are my favourite missions in Career Mode.
I actually achieved owning a PMDG 737 800 in Neofly’s career mode, and I have not lost it instantly, even got the NMAC YS11 in my Neofly fleet, learning from Neofly, we are completely missing cheaper airliners like the DO328, dash 8 series, b1900D, CRJ 200, B99, and erj 135, if I was able to add those to my career mode fleet id be able to get the 737 max 8 quicker with the passive income from flying those guys
Regional airline ops are seriously missing from career mode
You could include half the local legends that arent career mode compatible.
Feels like we are beating a dead horse and talking to a brick wall, what is the dedicated career mode team working on? Filters? I really hope these filters in the beta fix the missing missions we lost from SU6
Liveries need first priority, then the mission generator back to SU5 levels where we had 20+ passenger missions from major hubs. Fix the Saab add some local legends, let us use the time of day slider for departures, fix the maintenance economy add some quick click maintenance, and then career mode will finally graduate from alpha 2024 state it still currently sits in
Not only regional ops but I wish we got Essential Air service so we could get the passenger PC12 passenger cessna 408, and passenger Cessna 208, and more passenger Saab 340B routes, also we need to be able to buy hubs and have our own created routes out of the hub
in a sane version of MSFS, or at least one not made by a company bent on gamification rather than simulation, Career would use Regional, Short Haul and Long Haul for airliner categories, instead of “Airliner” and “Heavy Airliner”. Regional would then be the natural home of turboprops like the Saab, the ATR and the Dash 8. Companies could specialise in one of the three branches of passenger aviation, instead of having a slew of randomly sized aircraft in their rosta.
