2024 cockpit engine sound very low despite settings?

I’ve tried adjusting the in game levels, changed windows settings (spatial) but when in the cockpit of the 172 the engine sound is quite low, as if I had headphones on (I’ve checked that it’s off in the sim setting). I have stereo speakers on my PC and have tried , stereo but am now using TV setting. Sounds outside of cockpit is fine. Anyone else having this or is it just me?

Maybe related to that report: [bug] No engine or cockpit sounds & multiple MSFS 2024 instances in audio mixer

A workaround that works for me (I am on PC): when cockpit sound stop working, instead of restarting the sim, I am going to the Windows sound mixer screen and click on the “reset” option. I’ll post a screenshot later.

Thanks for that suggestion. I’ll have a play with it.

Hi, in the sound settings, you must uncheck the "HEADPHONE SIMULATION " box

I am having the same issue…
The aircraft engine sounds are not as loud as they should or could be.
I did the reset option, but it didn’t yield any changes.

The headphone simulation is turned off. I am working on the sound driver and other Realtech setting on my PC. I am running the MS Store version of FS2024.

Thank you!!! I thought I would never hear the roaring of spooling up engines again lol ^^

That’s it - at least it did the trick for me. Thank you!
