I’m glad someone is.
I had a working copy of MSFS 2024, successfully downloaded & installed several days following launch, in which I’d finally managed to configure my controllers & was starting to “explore”. Then my 6 year old SSD C: drive crashed & had to be replaced, … followed by a clean install of Windows 11 & most of my applications (including MSFS 2020).
The last couple days have been spent (unsuccessfully) trying to reinstall a usable copy of MSFS 2024. It would download, install, start … then hang at 10 or 11% (activating packages). Multiple uninstall/reinstall cycles made no difference. Today I let it continue all day & it’s now stuck at 68% (loading world data) for well over two hours I’m aware of.
In Task Manager MSFS appears active, though the network usage constantly alternates between 0.0 and 0.1 Mbps.
… if I run an internet speed test in Chrome, you can see there is nothing wrong with my internet, plenty of capacity is available (over 900 Mbps):
Any suggestions welcome …
(at least 2020 is running better than ever … with a fresh Windows install, … with the hardware upgrades put in place in anticipation of 2024 …)
