I’m having this issue mainly only if i have one or more the 13 or so francevfr addons enabled, as i start to disable some of them, ie: vfr east, south west etc, the lag on zooming into an airport selected becomes less and less.
I’m pretty sure it must be POI or similar being added to the general map. Im selecting destinations across the globe however.
Anyone know of a way short of just disabling those when not in use to work around the lag. It can be something like 7 seconds before it zooms to the airport and even then sometimes on load into the situation it feels laggy too (beyond the map).
This combo was somehat better, its mostly the obstacles and combo vfr packs causing the issues
There’s definitely something going on with the FranceVFR packs. I have the combined airfield and POI versions and had to disable them due to the issues you described.
I had to disable francevfr-landmarks-vfr-france too, but only this one. I also have a few other packs of francevfr-airports which are not causing this Problem
yeah so far i found vfr obstacles and maybe just disabling the combo north west one make the map a bit better now… but i do suspect its the other combo’s too adding to the stutter map zoom/delay on departure picking (any departure)
I did have some success disabling one or more of the packs a while ago, but I forget which combo worked. I also get horrendous lag and stutters when flying in Germany and Switzerland so just gave up and disabled everything.
I might try them again one by one when I get time, at the moment I just want to enjoy some flights without constantly troubleshooting.
