3 Monitor alignment

For those of you who fly on 3 screens, I have a question regarding alignment of the images. I use 3 Gigabyte monitors, (all 144Hz) a 34" (3440x1440) curved for my main, and 2 flat 27" (same horizontal resolution, different vertical) for the sides. Say, I align the images (best I can) inside my cockpit - for example, the Cessna 152 - when I switch to external view, the images will be out of alignment somewhat. Also, when changing the alignment on one of the side windows, it often will distort the image when applying the changes, if not outright CTD. Thanks for any info.

You sure those details are correct?

I saw the photo in the cockpit pictures topic and it looks like your side monitors are more likely to be the same vertical resolution as the centre, i.e. 2560 *1440.

Don’t think a 27" 16:9 monitor with 3440 pixels horizontal actually exists, but am happy to be told otherwise.

If so, that’s exactly the same setup as I have (LG rather than Gigabyte) but I only fly in VR. If I get chance I’ll try it with the three monitors and see how it goes.

hi; um, did i get mixed up? isn’t the 3440 the horizontal rez? (ie, left to right)? and the 1440 the vertical (up and down)? i always thought the larger number of pixels went with the longer physical dimension of the monitor; if no, my bad. and yes, the 27" screens are 2560x1440 natively, although i’m in the process of trying different resolutions to see what helps with fps and alignment. i don’t know if getting two 34" for the side screens would help with the alignment or not, just didn’t want to spend twice the $. i guess my Oppenheimer is showing. mike

I guess you’ve inverted the vertical and horizontal status, there came the confusion …

thanks, i appreciate. mike
