We will not have a study-level aircraft to fly until the SDK is complete. Any attempt to sell a payware aircraft until then is futile and will be subpar. When PMDG says it’s ready, then and only then will “I” begin to purchase aircraft. Before then, buyer beware. Yes, it stinks, but that is reality.

After each update, I have learned that any tweak I’ve done to an aircraft to improve or change cfg. files or flight files is futile. The updates remove any changes we make, unless the change sits in the community folder. Yes, I can go back in and make the changes again, but to what end.

Because of reality 1 and 2, PATIENCE will be the key. Patience is difficult for many right now. Let’s face it, some of us are homebound due to COVID-19. I suggest we find a productive outlet. Go for a walk, ride a bike, but, layoff Microsoft, Asobo and each other. I believe they are in this for the long haul. I know I am.
Lastly, my Opinion on one topic:
I will TRULY be disappointed if Microsoft, Asobo or anyone make any attempt to “dumb-down”, or do anything that prevents this software from being the most powerful and advanced simulator ever. If I can’t afford to own a computer that gives me the frame rates I want, or a CPU that has the power I need, or enough memory, etc. etc., than that’s my problem. AND, I won’t whine about it here. Some people have, and some have not. When I purchased MSFS 2020, I bought a brand new solid state drive to install this on. Why would anyone risk doing it any other way?? I believe that because of this, I’ve had no download challenges or crashes to desktop. Other than the known issues, everything works perfectly. No other software will ever touch this drive. It’s just the safest way to go.
To me, it seems that in an attempt to make this software more “User Friendly” to the masses, the LOD has been lowered. NO. Do not do that. Turn it up I say. I want MSFS to be so resource heavy, that it forces advancements in the hardware industry. (BTW, I am not in the IT industry in any capacity, so I have no financial gain from my opinion) The companies that have produced this simulator should never compromise any detail for anyone. I was impressed to learn that most common household computers can’t run this software. Now that’s a simulator that I want. Produce the best, we will all find a way to buy more powerful hardware.
Keep going Microsoft and Asobo!!
Cheers!
