Very true. The one at microcenter is now sold.
Nvidia’s site has the 3090 listed at $1,499. Not available yet. You do get the option to get on the notification list.
I’m waiting to get the 3090. Might as well go big and hope it adds even more FPS but doubtful. Seem to be CPU bottlenecked at this point with my 2080ti OC 11GB being pretty good with the new update.

Would you say getting the founder edition will get you the same perfs as getting one from Asus like the STRIX (note I have no plan on overclocking the GPU…) Thanks
Some of the 3rd party suppliers offer overclocked versions which are warrantied. They usually cost a little more.
If you go on the Nvidia site you’ll see a couple of them.
Thanks. My question was more if I don’t intend to overclock nor wish to have an overclock version (hey the RTX3090 is already powerful enough), is there any disadvantage to get the FE (noise, temp… ?)

In the past the founders edition had a single blower type fan. 3rd party typically had much better cooling solutions. This time around the founders edition has much better looking cooling. Once a couple of reviews are published on the 3rd party cards we can compare
The Founder’s Edition cards blow hot air up towards your ram and CPU. I’ll be avoiding that edition in favor of the more traditional third-party options with three fans and rear exhaust

Guru3d has benchmarks on a couple of brands of card including temps.
The founders edition was tested at 38c idle 76c load
The Asus card tested 38c idle and 62c load.
