And then I bravely stepped into the A320 without having a clue what I am doing… Took off at KLAX, hand flew kind of a BIG circuit and landed by hand. NOT the prettiest of flights I can assure you but the landing was sorta kinda OK: not too bad I thought for someone who had only flown the A320 once before more than a year ago. So the airlines are not lining up to offer me a job but that’s OK…
I picked KLAX because it is a hand crafted airport so I assumed it would be sort of a worst case.
One VERY bad thing: after landing and taxiing to the terminal, I suffered a CTD: the first one in forever. I immediately checked my Capture One folder because it is a known issue that a conflicting DLL in that causes issues and has caused me problems in the past. All OK there so I do not know what caused the CTD: will have to look into error logs.
In any case: some screenshots with the framerate shown in the bottom left corner. And yes, the framerate did drop into the high 20’s very briefly when changing views but that I think is to be expected. No stutters or anything untoward. A great pity we can only upload images at 1920 x 1080 as this obviously does not show the true beauty of the scenery etc.
I hope these are of some use. As mentioned, because you have a better processor and a better GPU than I do, I would expect your system to do better than mine.
