Frankfurt has the Opera house illuminating half of downtown again, the same thing happened the last time this bug appeared.
So it’s not only different POIs, some returned with the same issue as well.
I don’t get why such an immersion breaking issue that appears globally on many POIs is still not fixed…
This again? Please Asobo, can you put some serious effort into stopping these regressions? It is not good version / quality control at all. For such a big company, I can’t understand what is going wrong. It comes across as being very unprofessional.
Could someone from Asobo please give us an update on this? It’s honestly disappointing to see that MSFS 2020 had vastly superior night lighting compared to MSFS 2024. The previous lighting engine was miles ahead.
From city lights to aircraft and runway illumination, everything feels off. Navigation, strobe, and beacon lights look like massive, oversized halos coming from a tiny, ridiculous point. Taxiway lights resemble radioactive mushrooms, among countless other visual bugs.
Asobo needs to address this properly or revert the graphical lighting system to the 2020 standards
Had a quick look in debug, affected objects appear to be from package microsoft-unitedstates-point-of-interest B_white, B_gold, B_blue, B_red, B_purple objects
This may not be exhaustive and there may be more objects affected. They seem to be compounding light objects with single LOD.
Could you imagine what might happen if the World Hub ever does arrive? It’s really a shame we’re still waiting. Realistically, they cannot fix every corner of the world as quickly as we might like. But we can.
