Anyone else noticed that even at pre-cache set to ultra, 3rd party airports will still have object that will unload after some time you watching away from them ? Causing a massive stutter.
I wonder if pre-cache is excluded from them, or is the new memory optimizations ? Maybe the developers of the 3rd party need update things to SU10 ?
On the scenery side at least their main problem is the lack of LODs. Most have just a LOD0, which is their highest detail. Others also include either a terrain texture, a elevation mesh or both, and that alone can be several GB (can be even heavier that the complete 3D model of the airport buildings for instance). In particular the ground texture appears to load in one go, while the Bing maps textures load in smaller tiles.
In any of those cases several gigas are involved in the data transfer (to load or unload assets in memory) so that takes a bit more time than usual.
The ground photo ( the CGL folder), is been an issue since SU9 at some 3rd parties. They seems to load very late and till they load ( when you are very close to them) you see a white box.
