The 3d trees will be an additional folder that you can place in your community folder. So users can take it off if they don’t want it and just use seasons without the 3d trees.
Agreed.
“Summer North - Winter South Season” will be released this Sunday.
The first city to have 3d trees is Sydney in Australia.
Sydney doesn’t have a hard winter so there will be evergreen trees in city as well as fall and grey colored trees. 3d trees are placed within default trees scattered in the city and by airport.
There will probably be around 200 of them in the city for now as I am still testing.
As I mentioned, there will be an option to turn it off or on.
Only one was suppose to be released which was “Late Spring/Early Summer” . (One season at a time ;)) I would have to postpone “early/late seasons” for now.
My Fall season is not just one Fall set of colors for the whole planet. I have 12 sets of Fall colors in Fall season. You will see plenty of areas with vivid fall colors, such as Japan. It will be released before end of this month.
Have you submitted your plug-in to the government? Today is May 15. I’ve been looking forward to it for a long time, and I just want to get it from the game mall. I think many people are looking forward to it just like me. Please don’t jump the ticket
sorry for the dumb question, but does your mod change the color of the fields from one season to another? In my area, because it’s mainly cereals, the fields are green in spring and yellow in summer. Is it part of your mod?
thanks
Another huge gripe everyone has with the game is how green the terrain is all the time in the default game. Farmland throughout the year changes and isn’t always green. The problem with the Bing Maps images is that the reference photos used are all from various points in time so the ground terrain will stay the same unless changed with a mod.
Hi, I’ve been reading this forum often and even purchased v5 of your mod, but have yet to install it. I was wondering if the effort to increase view distance of trees has been put on hold for the time being to see what Asobo does in the future. Is this the case? I’ve noticed a few other mods that increased draw distance no longer work either.
Hi Bijan. I’ve just discovered this thread and it sounds very interesting. I’m not quite sure if you are selling just one mod, or multiple separate mods, I can see a few on simmarket. Is there one mod that includes everything or do I have to buy several individual apps?
Aslo, as I mostly just fly around my home area of Devon and Cornwall in the UK, would I notice a difference or is this more a mod for visiting exotic locations?
Specifically a couple things bug me with the base game. Too many trees, sometimes sprouting out of man made structures like piers and break waters, or off rocks in the sea. There’s also far to many trees in some locations, like Dartmoor in Devon, England. Haytor for example, has trees all around it whereas in real life its not trees but gorse bushes. Just wondering if your mod improves those kinds of anonomolies?
I only have one product in simmarket. I am not sure how you see more than one. It includes all 4 seasons.
You will definitely notice difference with the season mod. This mod changes trees in the whole world and not just exotic locations.
I do have gorse bushes in my mod in parts of UK and those are placed randomly and automatically.
I CAN placed them in a small specific area but that would require manual work. I would do that for a small area but it won’t be possible for large area.
As far as many places having too many trees, I have yet to see one. If you can post an example, I will compare and see what can be done. I do have control of density of trees.
Ah that’s easier, I had seen your upgrade option on the simmarket ad for people who had purchased a number of other mods, so they were earlier mods that this has replaced?
Am I correct in thinking I buy this mod, and I’ll get four folders, one for each season, and I put the season I want to fly into my community folder and swap out when I want to try another?
Regarding too many trees, here’s a picture of Haytor in real life. You’ll see no trees at all, just gorse. In the base sim there is no gorse, just trees everywhere and it really spoils the realism of Dartmoor.
I was wondering if your mod would fix that, and I would see bushes and gorse rather than trees everywhere.
This is a common problem in the UK in MSFS. The sim places trees in the lake district and Scottish Highlands where there is often none, only small shrubs and bushes.
Yes, I used to have single season and there is a discount if they want to upgrade. Those single ones are not available to purchase anymore but they can get the discount to upgrade.
Yes, correct.
I can fix that. I can see in google map where these fields should be so I can work from that. I see there shouldn’t be any trees there.
It does require manual editing though but I can get it done in the following updates.
