4K, 48 inch TV or 4K, 28 inch monitor

As my last post was flagged I’ll try to express myself once again and maybe this time nobody feels hurt.

I bought the LG CX 48. It’s such a amazing experience, it really blows my mind how beautiful and realistic FS2020 feels.

My jaw is litteraly on the floor and I just can’t close my mouth.
If anyone have doubts about purchasing this amazing tv/monitor, don’t!
JUST BUY IT!!

I have the 55" B9. Similar tv just a little older. Was one of the first to have the HDMI 2.1 standard. Have the PS5 set up to it and it looks gorgeous. Haven’t tried hooking up my computer to it since it would be a large hassle and it would inconveince the kids. I wish I had a 3000 series video card as these are the first with the HDMI 2.1 standard then you could really push the limits of what that can do hooked up to the CX series. Simply amazing tv and best part is that it is half the price of similar gaming pc monitors.

Hi there,
I have moved your post to PC & Hardware. This is where discussions for monitors, resolutions, and frame rates can be discussed.

Mine is sitting on my desk (it comes with legs… Make sure you screw both screws into the legs or the legs will break if you sit the TV on the legs without the screws! ) less than 2 feet from me (about the same distance as I sit from the instrument panel in a plane), far less than 1.5 meters. I will admit reading that icon in the top far left corner of the desktop isn’t so easy

For those who haven’t tried sitting a 55" TV on their desk for computing and gaming, I highly recommend trying it before knocking it. I love how many windows I can have open at one time on a 4K monitor. And I keep the text at the smallest size possible. Granted, I do have very good reading eyesight and don’t need glasses for reading. But, I would think that’s an advantage for those who’s eyesight isn’t the best as you still have a lot of screen real estate even at larger text sizes.

I have had the same reaction . I didn’t know what I was missing. I was already running 4K, but this thing is blowing that away. No Lag everything crisp and clear as far as you can see. Cant wait to get a HDMI 2.1 video card and a new system to bring out everything this TV/Monitor can do.

I have an LG CX 65. It is incredible. The colors are brilliant as is the image quality, and the CX has HDMI 2.1 so it can do 4k@120fps as wel.

Right now I also have it on my desk but only for testing purpose before I mount it on the wall. I can say it really exceeded my expectations far more than I tought it was possible.
It’s like I’m inside the cockpit. And with graphics this sim produces the OLED screen really shines with It’s black levels and colour quality.

And for those of you who are concerned about seing pixels because being close to the tv, don’t.
Image is just beyond perfect!

I went from AOC 32" which is a 2K mid range monitor and the difference is monumental.
It feels like I played the sim on a Nintendo 8bit before I went for this LG.
Funny thing is that the sim even performes better. I’m getting 30-40 fps at airports and 40-50 in the air with a mixed setting of high/ultra where the most settings are on ultra. I even have less stuttering than before in a FBW A320.

I will never go back to a monitor again!

It’s really an amazing peace of hardware. I was actually looking for a LG 28" 4K monitor but they are sold out everywhere. And boy am I happy for that cause this OLED blows everything out of way.

I suppose humans have always been this way, but it is pretty silly
Actually made me laugh that it got flagged.

I use a 58 inch Philips 4K TV, the effect is good!

I spend more time in War Thunder than I do in FS20. The 48" 4k makes aerial combat much easier with respect to target identification and gunnery.
