I have RTX 3070 with 49" superultrawide (3840x1080, so lots of pixels to light up). Went from Ryzen 3600 to 5600X, but didn’t really feel much of a difference. Then went from 5600X to 5800X3D and that was quite an improvement. I made one “before/after” comparison though on the ground with custom scenery, and as I recall, it gave me 15 fps extra or something like that.
But during my daily use, I don’t really care about the numbers, if it’s 35 fps or 55 fps. I just want it to feel smooth and look good. And it feels smoother now than before.
Initially I regretted purging out that much dough for a CPU, but I feel I got good performance for the money.
