I’m just saying that 2024 is specifically GPU or CPU limited. It depends on your setup.
In a balanced setup, its generally CPU limited. Which is why they moved the glass cockpit refresh to another core for instance… it helps, but the mainthread is still very saturated with higher LODs.
The GPU has many more parrellel duties that can generally keep up.
Obviously everyones situation is different and your milage may vary, but if you are building a new PC, I’d focus on a decent CPU because most of the modern GPU’s can keep up with the limitations of the mainthread right now and you have many more GPU intensive options to scale down or disable than you have CPU options if you are limited (basically just LOD setting)
