Hello I am looking to build my first PC for microsoft flight simulator and I am not sure if I should get the 6900XT or the 3080.
My Specs I am going to have in my PC are…
-i5 13600k
-gigabyte z690 UD DDR4 Motherboard
-corsair vengeance 3600 32gb RAM
-samsung 970 EVO pro 2tb
-Lian Li III White Case
I want really good graphics and be able to run ultra on everything. The 3080 and 6900XT are the same price for me but I do not know which one to get. What do you guys think I should get??

This isn’t happening in VR with your system unless you have an older VR headset like a Rift S. The higher headset resolutions that you need to get good graphics requires too much power.
I have a 6900xt and a reverb g2 headset. I get good graphics with high settings, not ultra. So temper your expectations. VR graphics don’t compare to the graphics you’d get on a flat screen. However a flat screen will never compare to the immersion you get in VR.
what cpu do u run?
I went with 6900xt & 5800x3d for my 1st PC build 6 months and no regrets at all and run Ultra. The extra VRAM in the 6900xt will improve performance in heavy scenery (I often get close to the 16gb max for complex airports/scenery).
You haven’t mentioned anything about which VR headset you plan to use.
