I think there has to be something going on with the gear not extending above some speed between 180K and the specified safe extended speed printed next to the lever on the dashboard. In other words, it seems to be out of specification and doesn’t work.

Can’t confirm. Just tested and the gear extends and retracts at speeds up to 270kias.
Above 270kias it’s inhibited.
