Anyone else notice the 787 not burning any fuel when above 50%? When I drop the fuel slider below 50%, fuel starts burning. When I raise it above, the fuel stops burning. Never saw that before.

Yip, I have noticed the same phenomenon, but i see the problem starts at anything above 91% fuel capacity or so. Anything higher than that and there does not seem to be any fuel burn. Must be a bug i suspect.
I never noticed this before. I tried deleting mods, reinstalling items, etc. No change.
I just did a 15hr flight (Brazil to New Zealand) started with 100% fuel, landed with 98%… (220 tons to 219.7 tons)
No mods, no addons, realism set to ‘realistic’.
The fuel consumption happened in the first part of the flight during ascend. Used autopilot VNAV and LNAV and increased ALT according to ATC instructions.
Perhaps it’ll be addressed in the next update
Maybe Boeing could learn a thing or two from Asobo about fuel efficiency lol
