Yep good job because I think COVID fatigue is affecting the FlightSim community. A lot of petty disputes lately (and yes I’ve been on the internet since 1994 and I remember Usenet.)

Nope don’t agree. I don’t see why there are moderators in the first place. It’s a game folks, it’s not real life! People have free speech; if someone disapproves they can always try and sue 'em.

Yep some people just can’t live their life without someone moderating it. No such thing as personal responsibility and accountability anymore.
I do thank some of the moderators though, the ones who will allow Discussion and posts to be made and not removed as long as it is not down right hostile or completely absurd.

There are moderators for every online discussion site, otherwise everything would go bonkers. How does a game preclude it from moderation?

As for the other comment, moderators are very much needed in any community space to not only help with disputes but a number of other behind-the-scenes responsibilities. Free speech applies to the U.S. Government, specifically the first amendment. This forum is not the government nor a government entity. Therefore discussions are subject to our Code of Conduct. We strive to make this a place for open discussion and opinions while keeping the focus on the product rather than attacking each other. Moderators help keep the Code of Conduct in place as well as the forums organized.
