A/C looses Alt / Spd and lands

Good afternoon,
Setting up a flight from the World Map point A to B ends up with A/C loosing airspeed / altitude and eventually landing. This occurs anywhere from 30 - 2000 miles from destination. Have tried with live weather and clear day with auto throttle on or off. I have several flights having this error. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do to fix, if possible.

Thanks,

What aircraft were you using?

Primarily the 787, but have experienced the same with the A320.

Does the plane loose power, as in electrical power, all displays go black?

Landing or crashing? Do you have any assistances turned on? Are you fueling the aircraft appropriately for the distance you’re trying to fly?

Thanks for replying. No loss of electrical power or going black. Just at some undetermined time / NM’s A/C looses alt / spd and lands.

Thanks for replying. I manage the fuel and when issue occurs the fuel level reads 25+. I do have assist with some items but none to affect loosing alt / spd. Just upgraded the latest, 1.23.

Does it pick an airport and land properly, or just descends to the ground.
Are the engines still running, and the throttles cut back?

Does not pick an airport, just lands where ever, Engines running and fuel lvl indicates above 25K. Depending on how long it has flown. I updated yesterday with 1.23.12 and currently flying from St. Johns to Houston.

Did you check to see if you have sleep mode enabled in Power Options, Advanced Settings, USB settings?
If so, disable it.

Chose “Never” in my settings. However, sim ran fine with the settings set until recently. What would cause it to all of a sudden to be affected by sleep settings? As long as a program is running sleep mode should be activated. Right? My flight yesterday crashed 35 miles from landing without warning reverting back to the basic windows screen. I am currently flying to another location and will gather the data for MS and go from there. Appreciate your advice / help.

Sleep mode will stop your throttle from communicating with the sim.
As well, often times when it “awakes”, the sim will CTD, as it often does when a controller is plugged into a running sim.

Not to jinx myself, but turning off sleep mode seems to have corrected the issue, for now. I have successfully flown 5 complete flts. Not sure why this issue arose when I have flown for sometime prior with no issues. Anycase, appreciate the info.

Thank you very much.
