Hi,
I created 20 airports in my project and unfortunately accidentally I formatted my drive D that has all files on it that’s a long story
! of course I have package file in my community folder, and this way I can use all my airports folder in Sim.
but I cannot edit none of them I just write this post to see if there is a way to recover it by using the Community folder airports. and somehow to make a XML files to continue work on them.
Moved to #sdk-discussion:airports - good luck!
If you have not used the drive since formatting it, it may be possible to recover the files… Google is your friend, you will likely need some software to do so… good luck!
Airport Design Editor can create a project from the BGL files in your community folder.
The second post in the thread on FSDeveloper forums (link below) gives all the detail to get you started.
I spent hours and tried different softwares even Windows recovery software. but sofar it didn’t worked
Recueva is the way to go for data rescue. But you should not do stuff with the drive ( write other files ) cause you can overwrite the airport ones.
When you format a Drive mostly nothing gets really deleted. So recueva can find it.
