After the new updates, a lot of new “Nordic” airports, like BIRK, now CTD on loading screen. The older airports seems to work fine. Tried different things and yes the community folder is empty. I didn’t have any CTD before the update. Strange.

try to start on some other airport and fly to the airport you see the crash. Does the SIm Crash there as well?
Same thing here. Never had such CTD during loading screen with this latest update 1.17.3.0 
Thanks but I am not sure what that long and tedious test is going to prove or solve.
if the Sim crashes on loading i guess you mean when you try to start from this airport.
There are now two options:
It would potentially illustrate a problem with the locale around the airport, rather than the airport itself. There are a number of places around the world where a CTD will happen, and the only workaround I know of was t lower the buildings detail from Ultra to Medium, I think.
That might be worth a shot as well.
For the record, I spawned at BIRK with no issues.
do you have either zinertek or rex texures maybe? they do cause crashes .

well I am not here to debug the Asobo program, that is not my job. Just to state a new issue. By the way this is not particular to BIRK but others too. I think there are close to a hundred airports which where updated. It take so long to test them all.
Why would I have to change any of my settings which work for months before this ? I think it is possible to remove the Nordic update in the marketplace. I’ll check if I can do that. Tx
Ah something interesting happen. I remove the two Nordic packages (3.5GB) in the marketplace and presto Birk, Biar, they load fine now. So that’s one place for the developer to look at.
I have those packages installed. That’s why that building in my image looks like it does.
I am not saying that it doesn’t work for every one. Not sure what the problem is for me but it has return to normal now without the pack. You have an Nvidia based system. (?)
Yes, Nvidia. Default Ultra settings, minus Motion Blur, and Bloom. All WUV packages installed.
Alright. I gave it another shot and download again the Nordic update. This time it was only 2 GB instead of the 3.x GB (?). It works ! Now the new airports are working fine. So may be it was a bad download or MS fix something on their side. So end of the fire.
I keep getting a CTD when downloading the Nordic update - 3.4Gb

Yesterday, another update came up (500 MB) telling me that I had some files which didn’t get update last time. I always thought that my previous one, 2GB only, was curious. Now the same CTD happen again. I had to uninstall the Nordic update to get rid of it on the new cities. So the problem is not fix.
