A nice little exploration

Here are some of the places that I have discovered in my last trips. Hope you like.

Nice place near Mount Markezi. Border between Libya, Egypt and Sudan.

One of my favorite discoveries to date. It’s called Structure de Richat. I highly recommend that you visit it and take your own pictures. Nearby is a small village called Le Ksar al Kiali.

A magical place is the sea of salt around Cerro Tunupa in Bolivia. It is really big, I had many areas to explore.

And to finish I leave you the beautiful coasts of South Eurthera in the Bahamas.

Pretty! How do you get those pretty Caribbean light blue waters? I’ve set everything to ultra and tried to see some, but it just doesn’t show up anywhere i go.

And where is that circular structure that looks like a gigantic meteor impact?

I am glad that you like them.

In order to see the places with Caribbean waters, you have to see in which areas of Bing Map they appear as satellite photos and in those places they appear in the FS.

The place that looks like a crater is Structure de Richat in Mauritania. I recommend you fly over it at a high enough altitude to be able to appreciate it in its entirety since it is quite large.

Below the photos you can see a description of the location of each site, in case you are interested in visiting some other place.

The Richat Structure stands out like a sore thumb in littlenavmap, even at a zoom level that covers the whole of Western Africa.

There are only a few spots in the simulator where you can see that, kind of like the animals. It’s a current limitation of the scenery. I’m not sure how to find where they are because Bing Maps and the simulator differ there.

Here’s the location of the above screenshots in the Maps app so it’s easy to find in the game:

I usually check the area I want to visit first in the Bing Map, to make sure it has a good quality of satellite photos and to be able to take good screenshots. Many areas are still blurry or low resolution and are not particularly pretty yet. Hopefully they update those areas in the future.
I invite you to use the Bing Map and you will see how you save a lot of time looking for interesting areas.
