I’ve been a beta tester to a few companies over the years. Mostly it is not the beta testers who choose what to test. They are told specifically what areas to test and very often only those results are collected and used. Even stuff like parking in fuel pumps or a plane within a plane is not fixed before release. Then when the public play up about it it gets fixed and the beta testers blamed by the public, whilst the companies say nothing.
