It is an immersion breaker, but one can always go into weather, set it for a nice summertime spell, then resume live or custom weather once the airframe has been deiced.

I though you could turn icing off? If so you could kinda simulate boots. Kinda.
I love the Aerostar and would pay for an A2A 601P that is FIKI certified.
Right, it’s there somewhere in the menus, but I have never tried that inflight. Will keep in back pocket!
For now I just keep my Aerostar parked in SoCal and fly something else when I want to fly around home.
The SW US is really good for it this year.
