Yes they’re enabled. Worth noting I started out with the aircraft in a “New” condition.
I tried (and failed) to find information on the A2A website/forum, but does anyone know if they are working on an update for 2024? I know they have a patch for Community folder-based customers, but I got mine through the Marketplace.
I’m tempted to take their patch and turn it into a mod, so I can take advantage…
No idea … A2A used to be one of the most communicative developers out there, alway keeping their customers up to date, often even with great work-in-progress videos. That has changed to almost the exact opposite. Even Carenado is more communicative these day, which says something.
On top of that they now take more than half a decade to release a new aircraft …
In short: I wouldn’t hold my breath for an update.
Yes, an update for Marketplace customers is in the works, but I don’t have ETA right now.
It made dozens of people go happy but
Well you cannot have your cake and eat it too.
If we want developers to prioritise rebuilding existing products to be 2024 compatible quickly (pretty much as a service to existing customers) we should expect delays in new product until they clear the backlog of updates.
Alternatively if we prefer they focus on getting promised new products to market quickly we should expect 2020 product updates to happen if and when they can fit them in.
It has four radios.
Sadly it seems that for whatever reason A2A have almost given up on MSFS.
wondering why A2A does not bring their cessna to MSFS, they should have all the real live data from P3D times. and their tools are developed for the comanche.
sure msfs2024 adaption is needed but this they have to do anyway.
Probably the same reason that they’re not bringing anything else to the sim, for some unknown reason it seems that A2A have decided to dramatically scale back development.
Yup. Reading between the lines, it seems that many of the high end developers are increasingly reluctant to get involved with FS2024 in its present state.
I reached out to A2A on their Comanche tech forum, regarding a problem I am having with my undercarriage bindings since SU1 dropped. I think they just threw their hands up in despair. No reply means they probably do not have a clue what SU1 broke in the control bindings.
Too many bug fixes going on at Asobo that may well break their planes over and over again and a waste of their time maybe.
Maybe they are waiting for SU2 to drop to test the water again. I can see SU2 may well be a make or break point for any devs looking to plan their next build platform.
It’s clear MSFS, or home simulation in general, is not their main source of income anymore. With one addon in 5 years they would go bust long time ago :). I guess they are focused on commercial/Military flight training simulators and MSFS is their side project.
If I didn’t need the income from it (and I don’t), there is no way I’d be developing for 2024 in its current state. Maybe in a couple of years. There’s way too much broken and way too many changes going on right now. Maybe if MS was paying me a pretty penny to do it? But, otherwise, nope.
Yes, that is what I have read too.
In terms of their financial viability, I don’t really know what their overheads are, or even how many employees they have, so whether they would go bust if they were solely reliant on proceeds from existing software, I have no idea.
It’s not just MSFS2024 though, A2A are not developing for any platform (unless we include the Aerostar, which at this moment appears little more than vapourware)
I do wish they would just be a little more communicative, even if it is to announce they have withdrawn from the flightsim market.
They’re still working on the Aerostar. No release date however they did recently say it will be for MSFS 2024 only.
