A2A Comanche 250 is on its way! (Released! July 2023)

You can use the configurator, which is in your apps to configure it to an axis or a button.

I had the sound of the engine stop …engine and propeller still running. Then i wasnrt able to turn Mags off ether.

I am using the TDS GTN I also have the PMS one, but I am using the TDS one and it works great?

I use a G2 V2 Reverb for VR. my graphics card is a Nvidia 2070S and it is stressed by VR in the Sim. I experienced 3 CTDs during the walk around. I eventually completed it by clicking around without actually doing any of the functions except removing chocks and tie downs. The cockpit is amazing in VR.

The flight itself was also amazing. I did touch and goes, steep turns, stalls, and turns around a point. It feels just like flying. I completed the flight and landed without difficulty. A slight crosswind landing, which also felt like real life. I don’t know how they got friction into the wheels, but it is awesome.

I don’t get this line of thought. They spent three years developing this exclusively for MSFS.

There are so many pieces of hardware and combinations of hardware I’m sure it’s hard to account for all of them in testing. I’m sure they will update this to add compatibility for everything possible.

I’d be encouraged that they already have options to change the behavior of the parking break and landing gear as well as a configuration program.

Missed that Sadge noises

1000 RPM idle is pretty normal for a Lycoming. At 600 you’re going to be running rough and probably dropping the alternator offline. I generally only check full idle for a few seconds after the runup, then back to 1000. Of course, consult the POH/checklist for their recommendation.

What’s your throttle setting (manifold pressure) when you do that?

Goes off completely or does the engine sound like it’s missing strokes?

MP 22 / RPM 24

No sound at all.

Thanks

Well, that’s it for me. This exceeded my expectations. Gonna be real tough to see me flying anything else from here on out.

My first flight was to Simsbury, CT. Home of A2A Simulations. I had to stop by and say thank you.

How did you “click” on AP, with a mouse? Kinda my point.

Did A2A manage to defeat the weathervaning on takeoff that plagues most GA aircraft in this sim? I departed Bremerton National (KPWT) on runway 02 with winds from 034 at 13 kts. It was fairly uneventful other than minor (realistic???) rudder inputs. I tried the same in the JF Arrow, and it went off like a squirrel on the highway…that thing was all over the runway, which is pretty typical for a lot of the GAs that I fly.

I click on my AUTO PILOT button on my throttle quadrant and it cycles through the A/P modes. I was responding to your statement: “This aircraft was designed to be flown by mouse.”. I have found only a couple of things that I need to use a mouse for. Seems the opposite of what you are experiencing.

I really hope they fix that at some point. It annoys me a lot and makes takeoffs so unrealistic…

The launch into the air reminds me of this bug that some testers reported with the PMDG 737-700 before it was released:

Is it possible to disable that center digital display?

Beautiful first flight for me. I spawned in a new aircraft. Did my walk around. Started and taxied to the run up. When turning off my right mag, the rpm dropped 300! I turned around and parked it in front of the hangar and dove into the maintenance pages. Inspection turned up fine. On run up again I noticed some fouled spark plugs. Cleaned them and my mags were both running smoothly again. Back to the runway!

Ground handling in general feels so good, above every other plane. Takeoff felt great. Handling in the air is smooth and easy. Trim is precise. Landing is just incredible. I can’t even describe it. The sound and the vibration when the tires hit the pavement is great.

Engine management and autopilot both went well and the whole plane and the engine feels so alive. Can’t wait to fly her again.

Having the same problem with my Sidewinder FFB 2 using XP Force. here is a link to a thread in the A2A Forum. The more guys and gals are saying they miss their beloved force feedback the more sense it makes for them to try to find a solution. And customer support is great with A2A, so there is hope.

Is anyone else having problem with the plane bouncing every few seconds? I have not purchased it yet, but all the streams/videos I have watched, there is a constant bounce with turbulence, no matter what game or EFB settings they use.

This would annoy me, so I have held off purchasing it.

This is not a problem, it’s a realistic representation of real life. You can turn off via the tablet if you prefer, however you lose out on an authentic experience. I fly IRL and can guarantee the Comanche is as close as it gets. The fluid feel is exactly right, and the fact that the aerodynamics are being processed 100% outside of the core sim means that all of the odd quirks the standard sim brings are removed entirely. I am not one for hyperbole but genuinely this plane is a simulation work of art.
