Yeah, exactly that.
I have a full surround system with a fair sized sub woofer and on my system the cockpit sounds are in my humble opinion great ![]()
The question is how I ended in a forward slip, I guess I might have some hardware doing rudder trim, need to investigate that on my end.
Thanks for the help to you and hobangerik!
Check your bindings, in case you have rudder trim set where it shouldn’t be.
I agree, I suspect those not happy with the sound are using a low end sound system, without a Woofer. – and this should be common for them across most of the planes.
I think it could be at the very least a distinct possibility. They have owned and flown the aircraft and must therefore have a good knowledge of how it flies.
Anyways, I shall remain hopeful until proved otherwise ![]()
I found what caused the tilt, 100% user error.
The key: The AP is slow to react compared to other planes using default AP so if you have the plane tilted to the left to compensate for the right rudder when you trim the rudder left the effect is worsened initially as the plane tilts even more to the left, until the AP slowly compensates for the rudder trim change.
So if you are very new to the plane like me you may think you are making things worst and then apply rudder trim to the other side.
I think the HI, LO thing is sensitivity. En-route you would probably want it on HI, but if on a localiser you would sort that to LO. Mid have to check the manual for that, but in my head it makes sense, and after the experience I head earlier where the plane couldn’t cope with s near right angle turn on LO, and just went forward missing the turn entirely.
I don’t find the wind noises that bad … except for one flight yesterday, when I was wondering why the wind is so friggin’ loud! Well, turns out that it becomes a lot more quiet, when you actually latch the door!
You have latched that door, right? ![]()
I’ve just been having a quicker tinker with the default pilot position, which I thought was a little too high, and a little too far back.
This seems a little nicer for now. From the “cameras.cfg” file.
InitialXyz= 0, -0.01, 0.10 ; 0, 0.01, -0.05
Doors and vents are closed, my problem with the wind is not how loud it is but how awful the sound is. Reminds me to FS realistic windshield wind sound that is a big no-no for me. I have FS Realistic off for the Comanche of course.
The Carenado Bonanza V35B will do that.
Totally respect your opinion about lack of trust with external programs and I understand your reluctance to buy a product which uses an external program to run. Each of us have different tolerances for risk and there is no point buying something which you are not totally okay with.
That said, I think you are right when you say that you know that you are missing out. For me this is the best GA in the sim so far
![]()
I’ve only used XP11, P3D3.5, and MSFS, and it’s easily the most fun I’ve had in the sim so far, and any sim really. Each have their place, but I think the closer we get to a plane that actually behaves like it does it real life, peer reviewed for its accuracy, I think we as sim pilots feel like we actually achieved something.
Fair enough. ![]()
Oh man, you really make me wanna buy it. I just don’t have much interest in the plane itself, I have the JF arrows and I’d much rather have a detailed C172 or C182, for example. But I assume that one is still far out (if planned) from A2A…
The manual says that HI is the normal mode of operation and the LO is for when the radio signal is unstable.
My guess is that they will support the Comanche for a bit before announcing their next AC.
I wonder what that next one will be though? It could easily be the C172 or C182 which you are hoping for. Or maybe even the Aerostar? Which ever it is, I am keeping a place reserved for it in my hangar. Personally, I’m hoping for the Aerostar.
Yeah, I assume it’s gonna be a while. $50 really isn’t bad at all so maybe I’m just overthinking this anyway ![]()
