The FS world has come a very long way since A2A was king of FSX for me and I already have plenty of very good and very ‘complete’ aircraft to choose from. I personally wouldn’t want this particular aircraft in any case but I don’t see anything here which is such a massive leap from what some developers have already brought us. I’m sure it will be great but honestly, I’ll probably pass especially if it is at the prices mentioned here.
Thank you for the info ![]()

I think my own expections now will be around £60 ![]()
I’m expecting it to be a lot cheaper than that, given the size of market available now. I would expect no more than the PMDG or Fenix, which are both very high quality simulations. Clearly the Comanche goes further in a number of ways but it’s also a much simpler aeroplane to start with.
JustFlights Arrow III is 38.95.
I hope the Commanche is around 50.00.
The P3D versions had staggered pricing for the different licensing options of P3D. The prices listed up there are the more expensive variant (“Professional”).
For example the A2A Comanche for P3D goes for $50 as an Academic licence but for $80 as a Professional license. I’m pretty sure the pricing for MSFS will be more along the lines of the Academic licenses.
The Just Flight Piper Arrow was the first high fidelity GA aircraft in the sim. Developers were still figuring out pricing back then, and the market has settled lower now. If it came out today, there’s no way it would cost that much.
If that logic stacked up then JF would surely have lowered the price due to reduced sales. If this is not Xbox then it stands to reason that it will likely be more than Xbox offerings due to a reduced market.
If the A2A Comanche delivers what the videos promise, then I’ll gladly pay 100 Euros for it because it would fundamentally change the sim experience in MSFS.
Let’s hope Scott or Lewis don’t see this.
I’ve just had a thought …
If I flag this it should get hidden
Thanks - I must be going blind and deaf! Think I got so focused on what we can expect feature wise and totally missed or blanked the when. I will be pleasantly surprised with a July release, but unsurprised if it does not quite happen. ![]()
Can somebody please explain me why so many hype around A2A products?
I mean not classic “it’s a study level aircraft” but list of stuff why their products are better?
Thanks ![]()
Short answer: Accu-Sim.
20 minutes of your lovely time answer: The A2A Comanche: Built with Accu-Sim (coming soon to MSFS) - YouTube
I bought just about every plane A2A released while I was using FSX, Whatever the cost of this and future A2A planes, I would think they would offer somewhat of a discount to those of us who already bought these planes.
While they were on the expensive side, there was nothing like them , they were the top of the line in realism. I would assume that when they are released for MSFS, they will be even better.
I’ve never had an A2A plane before but been reading a bit about them the past few months as well as hearing the almost universal high regard they are held in and had a good feeling already. That video put things into perspective somewhat!
What I’m most impressed by (and excited for) is how by modelling the engine in that way, it will make it feel so alive, varied and natural.
It’s amazing, but actually pretty logical - that each stroke of each cylinder combined is creating the final sound we hear. Not a sampled recording from the real plane, no matter how finely recorded and mixed and Wwise’d it is. It makes sense… that IS how the sound IRL is created but for them to break it down into component parts that way, and it still sounds correct together is clever stuff. Then the fact that from that, it feeds back into vibrations and shocks through the whole frame and loose objects inside the cockpit. Absolutely awesome!
I’m equally excited about other things shown and not shown yet. Generally I’m too excited for this pretend plane ![]()
As for price and discounts for previous customers. I don’t know really. They need to recoup 2+ years of investment and development mostly specific to MSFS so I wouldn’t hold your breath on that, but what do I know.
Im very excited for this product! My dad owned a Comanche 180 way back in the late 60’s until early 80’s. (hence my forum name). We use to go flying on the weekends from Flushing airport in NYC (now defunct). It put the flying bug in me. It was a great looking plane and a wonderful childhood memory! I earned my allowance each week by riding my bike to the airport to wash it. A2A always makes fantastic stuff, So this will be a day one purchase for me!

For the same reason there is a lot of hype around the wines of Burgundy
Everyone makes their own choices. It’s a matter of try and see if it is yours. Many like them for the feeling of dealing with a real aircraft and their persistence of state even between the sim sessions. The default piston engine in all sims has always been very boring, refined and idealised, let’s put it this way. Any attempts to enliven them were less successful than the one made by A2A. A real piston engine is alive, sometimes whimsical and fretful. It requires care and attention. This is the feeling their aircraft somewhat simulate. As to the rest, well, it’s about personal preference really.
Has it already been communicated where we can buy the A2A Comanche when released? Sorry if I have overlooked this. Thx.
Hopefully not marketplace exclusive or we will be in for a further long wait after it’s ready lol
I’d be a little surprised if it even hits the marketplace. I’m guessing (could be wrong) that accu-sim requires an external application layer to run the simulation of everything.
