How do I check the fuel from the main tank? It’s way under the fuselage and I can’t squeeze myself under the aeroplane to get to it!
You can do it from some distance, even without seeing the drainage. The mouse pointer will change to hand when over the clickspot and once the bottle is out it’s easier to operate it.
I mean, you can, ‘c’ crouches in the walkaround (there’s probably an xbox mapping for it too)
Crouching doesn’t get me low enough unfortunately
If we’re stuck with this psuedo-FPS walk-around system then Asobo should at least give us a stand-crouch-prone system, like other shooters ![]()
Ok, thanks I hadn’t noticed it until recently, I’ll just turn the beacon off for now go stealth mode ![]()
Jump to 2:08:00, you can see it there
Just installed 2024 version and noticed the propeller disc is invisible from the cockpit when engine is running. Is it a known bug? I tried to search this thread but could not see anyone mentioning it.
IRL you cannot see the propeller disc when the engine running, the sim has always given it an unrealistic camera effect.
Its the thing you sometimes read in the release notes for a plane. “Improved propeller strobe effect”, instead of “Removed propeller strobe effect”.
This is very noticeable, especially at night with the propeller frosted over.
In the Comanche this error is hardly noticeable, but for example in the Tomahawk the icy propeller deforms the ground lights at night.
IRL you sometimes absolutely can see the disc, it all depends on how the light hits the blades.
If your propeller is iced up in those aircraft, you shouldn’t be in the air, anyway. I’d take it as a cue to get the heck out of Dodge.
Yes, you are right, the update was done in a hurry, not even the character was changed as you can see in the video posted on YT, moreover, the person who posted the video was not fully prepared either.
I didn’t buy the add-on because I don’t use GPS and the Comanche is equipped with factory instruments from that era, and I’m also concerned that updating it will make it more platform-dependent.
There is a heck of a lot more to the update than just the GPS updates.
BTW, if you use the PMS GTN750 in the Comanche, you will find that GPSS is not reliable - see this post. I’ve also noticed the problem - it works for a while then heads off in the wrong direction.
The entire aircraft and flight model is very different from the 2020 version, absolutely.
