Sim update 13 (SU13) caused the game to CTD for a lot of players (there are numerous threads here related to that topic). I’m still amazed that such a regression was possible. From an engineering point of view I don’t understand how this was acceptable by Asobo.
Now if you want to play the estimation game, Asobo released SU13 the 26th of September 2023. The “new” CTD was corrected with SU14, which was released on the 5th of December 2023. Note that this was critical regression as some players were unable to use the game anymore and the fix took more than two months to be released.
My advice is to forget the A310 for some time. Do something else like playing another game or fly another aircraft. Between SU13 and SU14 I put the game aside and enjoy my time doing something else.
Workaround that worked for me was to set the date back a few days in the weather/time on the world map to 24th Dec, then load in. IniBuilds said it was a related to the “pending AIRAC” (28DEC start), so it looks like they have some bug that started manifesting when the sim time hit 27th December (UTC), rather than being caused by any update that was pushed by Asobo/Microsoft…

Let me see if I understand you correctly. Asobo went on vacation for two weeks for the holidays, they forgot to leave the AIRAC update and now a plane broke down?
The good news is that next week, when they update AIRAC, it will be solved (supposedly).
The bad thing is Asobo’s terrible support for its player base.
I don’t think you understand me correctly. People with Navigraph so the latest Airac today are still affected. The problem just seems to be a latent bug in the A310 code which was triggered when the date rolled over. They fixed the bug pretty sharpish but because it’s done through contract with MS as a first party product they are reliant on MS/Asobo to approve/push the update out.
Its weird how this gets fixed just by switching the date on game lol, never seen something like this before.

Got you now. I know is not a Navigraph problem, and I know Ini fixed the bug really fast, I read they Discord offten.
And I know Ini cannot do anything to push the fix, they are only the devs of the product, but the ownership and support of the A310 is under Asobo responsability.
I really wish Ini could directly support the A310 and soon the A320neo, the support would be much better.
Talk about bad timing on my part…I wanted to have a tinker with controllers for the A310 as I’m considering the new A300 release. Only change I’ve made today is AIRAC updates. Not flown the 310 for ages.
Sparked the sim up, selected the 310 and then the CTDs started. I finally got it to load, but had black displays and weird cockpit status even when ready to go - and it was only when I searched for display issues I found the ini thread, you’ve referenced.
You know, when an issue arises which relates to the core sim, as this was released via MS, it’d be nice if they used some startup NOTAM system to save folks troubleshooting and hunting around for info. Lesson learned on my part I guess!

I can’t get anything in the A310 to work, battery will not provide power, neither will APU or GPU.

Heard about this work around on msfs discord; set your sim date to before December 23rd and the A310 should work , i tested on xbox and it was all ok.
I just tested it and it really works!
This is a programmed problem! It should be investigated and someone arrested. It’s too much of a coincidence to stop working just on the eve of the launch of the A300!
Surely someone bought the simulator after the A310 became available.
After load airplane you can put time in LIVE.

Yes - i have the same problem - sometimes i can fix it - switching NANOVG ON => APPLY => OFF => APPLY - and then i can fly the A310.

Most times loading into the A310 its allready switched on - even i have “cold and dark” as default state. Then i know - the A310 is broken. Brake lever not working - Throttle not working and …

Setting the insim date before 27.12.2023 looks like fixing the issue! Airac was out on 28.12.2023 …
It seems incredible but it’s exactly like that, using a date before December 27th everything works as expected.
Too bad I flushed an entire evening down the toilet looking for the problem until I read your post.

I am having the same issue on the Xbox Series S. Whenever I load into the A310 many buttons are already turned on and nothing works. I always start with cold and dark and even trying to change the startup on the tablet does nothing either. It makes no difference if I delete modded liveries, change the live time/weather feature, or turn on or off any traffic or data features. It’s so weird that this just popped up all of a sudden. Since the last patch on Xbox, there have been numerous issues with many planes. I hope they fix these issues
