If MAX Autobrake set prior to takeoff, A310 will initiate MAX autobrake if it encounters a bounce on takeoff (eg: due to uneven runway surface, etc)

I have experienced this at PANC with the Salty 747, too. This is really an issue with the scenery. I think the plane is just doing what it’s programmed to do.

I can see that but at the same time I would imagine there’s some sort of logic to prevent that. MAX is a valid landing autobrake setting, but a transient weight on wheels fluctuation wouldn’t initiate a brake application. (Thinking IRL here, but obviously not privy to the 310 autobrake logic)

When does the autobrake disarm on takeoff?

Anyway, I’m more likely to leave the autobrake off if there’s a concern for that.

Usually autobrakes initiate RTO upon reducing the throttles or engaging reversers.

It sounds as if there is faulty logic and it is interpreting the bounce as a landing, then applying max autobraking.
